When To Book

As Disney works on the expansion of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, guests will be able to see and hear construction at certain times of day. To minimize disruptions, activities that may create noise will not start earlier than 9:00 AM. Now through 2026, additional portions of the resort hotel will be undergoing refurbishment, subject to operational needs or weather conditions. The ongoing enhancements may impact views of the theme park and other surrounding areas.

From January 24, 2027, through January 30, 2027, Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment. Complimentary bus service will be available.

From October 2025 through May 2026, Guest rooms at Kidani Village at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will undergo refurbishment. During this time, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area. All amenities will remain available throughout the refurbishment.

From May 2026 through January 2027, Guest rooms at Jambo House at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will undergo refurbishment. During this time, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area. All amenities will remain available throughout the refurbishment.

From September 2024 through late 2027, refurbishment work will occur in phases throughout select areas of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, including the atrium, Bay Lake Tower and the Main Tower. The Main Tower will undergo exterior maintenance beginning March 23, 2026, which may impact views from various locations throughout the resort and, at times, require alternate paths of travel. Guests may see or hear construction during daytime hours.

From January 26, 2026 to early May 2026, the Bay Cove Pool, Cove Bar, water play area and whirlpool spa at Bay Lake Tower will be temporarily closed for maintenance. The Main Pool, water play area and whirlpool spa at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will remain open for Guests to enjoy.

From late March to late May 2026, exterior elevator landing repairs will take place at Bay Lake Tower.

From March 30 through May 1, 2026, the Skyway Bridge connecting Bay Lake Tower and the Contemporary Main Tower will be closed Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. and will reopen daily after 5 p.m. and remain available evenings and weekends. Guests may need to use alternate paths of travel at times and may see or hear construction activity.

Disney’s Beach Club Resort is undergoing visible exterior maintenance through late 2026, which will impact views from various locations throughout the resort, and at times, require alternate paths of travel. As part of this work, from mid-January, 2026 through early May, the Tidal leisure pool will be closed for routine maintenance. Guests may see or hear refurbishment work in the area until the work is complete.

Now through late 2026, refurbishment work will take place in select areas of Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. While Guests may see or hear work during daytime hours, most Resort amenities—including dining, recreation, and merchandise locations—will remain available.

Beginning in late 2026, the Disney Vacation ClubVillas at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will undergorefurbishments. Please allow for extra travel time. Guests may also see andhear construction during their stay.

Renovations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will continue in select areas, including the covered entrance, through early 2027.

As part of this work, from mid-July through October 2026, Grand Floridian Cafe will temporarily close for a refresh. During this time, brunch will continue to be offered but will temporarily move to Cítricos. All other dining locations at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will remain available for Guests to enjoy. Guests may see or hear refurbishment work during daytime hours and may need to take alternate paths of travel.

Refurbishment work will take place in phases at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa through mid-September 2026, including refurbishment of the Treehouse Villas. Guests may see or hear construction activity during daytime hours.

Beginning March 23, the tennis courts will be closed for refurbishment and are expected to reopen in June 2026. During this time, the basketball court will also be closed.

From early April through September 2026, The Turf Club Bar and Grill and The Turf Club Lounge will undergo refurbishment. The Turf Club Lounge will be closed from mid-April to early August while The Turf Club Bar and Grill will remain open with a pop-up bar and modified menu. The Turf Club patio will be closed from early to mid-August. The Turf Club Bar and Grill will be closed from mid-August to mid-September, during which time The Turf Club Lounge will remain open.

Now through late April 2026, the South Point Pool and Spa, BBQ area and playground at Disney’s Old Key West Resort will be closed for routine maintenance. During this time, Guests may see or hear maintenance activity during daytime hours and are encouraged to use the Sandcastle Pool or one of the resort’s other two leisure pools – the Turtle Pond Pool and Miller’s Road Pool.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge are undergoing exterior refurbishment through late 2026. These enhancements may impact views from various locations throughout the Resort. While most amenities will remain available, Guests may see and hear construction work during daytime hours.

From April 13 through late July 2026, the boat dock at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo routine maintenance. The dock will be closed and boat transportation temporarily suspended from April 13–May 1.

From April 13 through late July 2026, the boat dock at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will undergo routine maintenance. The dock will be closed and boat transportation temporarily suspended from April 13–May 1.

Beginning early May 2025, construction will take place near the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool area. The Meadow Swimmin’ Pool and Wilderness Swimmin’ Pool will remain open for your enjoyment, however, the nearby tennis courts, volleyball court and the Meadow Playground will be temporarily closed. Please note that Guests may see and hear construction in the area until the work is complete.

From September 2025 through March 2026, Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort will undergo exterior maintenance. The ongoing enhancements may impact views from several places within the resort, and guests may see and hear refurbishment work during daytime hours.

From January 11, 2027 to April 2027, the Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn & Villas will be closed for routine maintenance. Guests may see and hear construction until the work is complete.

From January 5, 2026, through November 2026, exterior refurbishment work will take place at Disney’s Vero Beach Resort. During this time, Guests may see and hear construction work during daytime hours.

The Waikolohe family pool, Waikolohe whirlpool spa, and Volcanic Vertical body slide will be closed for refurbishments from April 13 – May 8, 2026. During this time, guests can still enjoy the Waikolohe Stream lazy river, Ka Maka Pool & Grotto family pool, Keiki Cove children’s splash zone, Tubestone Curl tube slide, Menehune Bridge water play structure, several whirlpool spas, and the Ko Olina beach area.
